The youth profile was developed according to Caird (1992) suggestions and the job function analysis.

This method involves the analysis the profile in Factions, Activities and Tasks), and for each activity different competence cluster is proposed according to Lans et al. (2005), although detailed learning outcomes (Knowledge, skills and competences) for each task are already developed.

The base for the development of the youth entrepreneur profile was the extensive literature review and two workshops with international participation in which the outline was proposed to expert attendances and peer reviews took place.

Conclusions

The development of the entrepreneur profile and especially the youth profile is an open research and practical issue. The aim of the present paper is to contribute to the open dialogue for the qualification that a young person should comply with in order to start and run successfully an entrepreneurial activity.

We propose the basic job related profile and the cluster competences for each activity, but more theoretical and practical research should be done. Especially researchers should investigate the analytical qualifications that the youth entrepreneur should have such as knowledge, skills and competences and how these qualifications could be accredited within the European union organizations and educational institutes. This accreditation could be related to the European Qualification Framework in order to promote effectively the youth mobility and employment in the European economical area.
